Insektless specializes in the production of insect protection systems, focusing on tailor-made solutions for windows, doors, and light wells. In addition to its high standards of quality and commitment to fast delivery times, Daniel Schmidmeier is also intensely focused on digitalization to establish efficient and sustainably successful processes in his young company.
“There is a wide range of solutions and options to digitize processes. The best solution for your own company just has to be found to make the most of existing potential.”
From Idea to Goal
Initially, the search was for a suitable webshop to make the company’s products available to retailers online. However, insect protection systems have a variety of requirements that traditional shop systems cannot address due to the range of variants and technical dependencies on individual product characteristics. The challenge was, therefore, to find a product-specific solution for e-commerce without expensive new developments or customizations.
“As a startup with a small budget, it was difficult to find a custom webshop for our needs. Fenzon had the perfect solution for us. Today, we can provide our retailers with a webshop in which they can freely configure and order their products.”
What Daniel Schmidmeier didn’t know at the time was that in addition to the webshop, Fenzon Core also offers a comprehensive customer relationship management (CRM) system and an end-to-end product sales process (CPQ: Configure Price Quote). This enables the central management of company and contact data and allows them to be used directly for the entire order processing.
“With Fenzon, we also have a program for order management, handling the ordering process, and a complete CRM system, all in one application. This comprehensive software solution enables us to continue growing.”
Insektless successfully created a digital sales channel with Fenzon and, within the first month, achieved sales through the webshop that far exceeded the total investment in the software. And that was just the beginning.
Currently, Daniel Schmidmeier is investing in a new double-miter saw with the goal of loading product information directly into the saw’s control system via an interface. The plan is to create a seamless process from the webshop to the saw without any manual entries.
