Over €300,000/Month with His Own Building Materials Webshop

HC Fenster offers a broad portfolio through its online presence, including windows, front doors, roller shutters, and garage doors, achieving a monthly turnover of over €300,000. But it wasn’t always this way!

1.5 years ago, Christoph Hölbling decided to market his window range along with a small selection of front door and roller shutter systems via the Fenzon webshop. Initially, the focus was on integrating compelling graphics and texts that would provide customers with all relevant information in an accessible way, while also improving search engine visibility. As someone who had already successfully launched and operated several building component online shops, Christoph Hölbling knew how critical this step was—but also understood that this is a continuous process where time plays a vital role. From the outset, he was clear about his priorities for the webshop:

“For me, the ability to easily manage products and content, achieve a good search engine ranking, and gain acceptance from visitors is crucial.”

In the first few months, increasing search engine visibility and targeted advertising campaigns resulted in revenues reaching the high five-figure range. This was a clear signal to expand the product range further.

The next step was to extend the product line to include front doors. Instead of manually adding the new door systems to the webshop, the decision was made to use a supplier that already provided its product data via Connect. As a result, the new systems were available online with just a few clicks.

Over time, additional products, such as garage doors, were added. The previously separate products, sold through different shops, are now all available in one place.

“This allows us to better channel our marketing efforts, leverage product synergies, and offer our visitors a comprehensive product range.”

What began as a small experimental project has quickly become a major driver of success for the company. Through a clear strategic focus, customer proximity, and a wide range of high-quality products, HC Fenster has significantly increased its revenue and expanded its market presence. The positive development and strong growth are proof that innovative ideas and effective implementation can significantly contribute to a company's long-term success.
