AluKun specializes in the trade of building materials and complex construction products, including windows, doors, pergolas, roller shutters, garage doors, window sills, and insect protection systems. Originally focused on business clients and large projects, the company has since expanded to support many private customers in realizing their dream homes through home construction and renovation projects.
Why an own online shop?
We see our own online shop as an opportunity to offer our end customers more transparency and flexibility in their decision-making process. On the one hand, by providing always available product information and, additionally, direct price quotes. This way, all relevant information about the desired product variant can be gathered centrally and directly aligned with the planned budget.

Key requirements for the project
A key requirement was to manage our broad product range without system breaks, in order to quickly and easily create quotes while also offering our products online. Furthermore, it was essential to have independent data creation and management so that products and features could be flexibly added, adjusted, and quickly adapted to market changes, as Vandana explains.
"There are many software solutions for window and door systems on the market. But very few offer an online front-end shop system where customers can configure their own products."
The independent implementation
We consciously decided to set up the system entirely on our own, i.e., to configure each product, profile, color, glazing, and accessory item. This was the best way for us to design the structure and features of each product according to our specifications and to fully understand the system.
It was quite a large undertaking due to our extensive product range, but by utilizing the option to create components in the system that can be reused across products, we eliminated the need to enter product features like glass types or surfaces multiple times for each product, saving a tremendous amount of time.
"Fenzon offers an intuitive and clear backend when it comes to data management and content uploads, combined with an easy-to-use product management system. This allows even those without technical expertise to easily navigate the system."
Once all products were entered into the system, we began finalizing the webshop with texts and images. Thanks to the web designer, this was done without any programming knowledge and completed in a short amount of time. Today, we are happy to provide our customers with a new and future-proof shopping experience through our online shop.
